If we’re ever in the market to buy a house again, check and make sure all sinks, water heaters and other places where water is managed have their own individual shut offs. If not ask why. Also confirm correct pipe used in all instances, if not ask why. If the above are partially or all “no” and we decide to buy the house anyway budget to fix the issue within the first month of moving in.

And if you are feeling very particular, those shutoff valves will all be good quality ball valves.
right now I’d settle for any kind of reasonably functional shut off….but yes, we’re putting in good quality ones as we work our way around things…
