Two points to remember

People driving brand new shiney Ford pickups do not appreciate it when a grubby Dodge Caliber blows by them on the highway.

The driving dead, driving an equally elderly Caddy aircraft carrier 10mph under the speed limit, will flinch themselves almost off the road when first the above mentioned pickup, and then I, blow by them at 10mph OVER the speed limit.

Yet another internet rumor, for the gun folk this time

This one affects gunnies, so hopefully you all will help spread the reality.

I actually saw this posted on someones blog that I was perusing via the Gun Blog Black list, don’t recall where though, and at the time didn’t have the energy to follow up on it, and of course forgot to save the link so I could go back and look further.  But apparently there’s a rumor that thieves are targeting gunnies by putting red dots on their cars and then following them and breaking in.  Hsoi was curious as it was supposedly happening not to far from him.  So he did some digging.  And he couldn’t find anything to back up the information, but he DID find this.  So lets help end this particular rumor before it spreads to much further ok?

I’ll probly have more later, or tomorrow, but for now:

A quick run down of some of the highlights of the SOPA protest blackout.  Some of these are good, see if you can find a working version of Oatmeal’s animation.  Its worth it.

The SOPA protest melted the Senate’s websites.

Supreme Court decides to help the .GOV screw over the little guy.

Woman and two kids pulled from the wreck of a car dangling over a 100ft drop.  Thanks to the Navy Seebees who just happened to wander by.

Seriously Blogger??

Apparently when I accidently switched formats it changed the default setting for line breaks from “press enter” to “use the
tag”

Seriously??

Yes, I’m grumpy with blog software in general at the moment, why do you ask?

WordPress

Well, attempts to contact their tech support for help importng the blog met with a resounding silence. An attempt tp get help through their forum got advice (admitedly from another regular person, not support) that didn’t work. I finally solved the problem by doing the opposite of the suggested advice. Not the best ever first impression.

I also have to admit to being spoiled by Blogger’s allowing of modification of the template, I can play with the HTML & the CSS, rearrange the sidebars to my content….and it doesn’t look like any of that is allowed on the free WordPress, I can’t do ANY HTML or CSS modification without paying a fee. Anyone reading this have experience the self hosted version? How easy is it to use? I mean, I can do some HTML and the like, but I’m not an expert, and thanks to a pair of puppies I’m a little short on the time it would take to figure it out.
