…..Guess that explains why Apollo has recently been so very upset at the scents around the apple trees….

Coyotes are such great scavangers – nothing goes to waste around them. Of course sometimes that “waste” is somebody else’s pride and joy or pet or something, but they are good at what nature designed them to be.
They are, and I don’t MIND, we deliberetly leave the fallen apples for the wildlife instead of cleaning them up. But I was very amused!
Wait until those fallen apples ferment a bit. Then you’ll see some coyotes staggering around the place and maybe singing some coyote songs.
Hah! I kow we had tipsy deer last year…..
