Maybe the groundhog didn’t entirely lie

On this day 2 years ago Mother Nature dumped about 2 feet of snow on us.  You could lose Apollo (who’s 27″ at the shoulder) in the yard.  Today?  Today I can see the grass.  The ground itself is still rock solid, though some of the areas that have been bare  of snow the longest are starting to get a bit muddy.  There’s still snow in alot of areas of the yard too.  Nor are we past the risk of another storm.  But I’ll take it!

  1. Going back thru pictures on my HD, on the 13th of March 2018 we had our 3rd Nor’easter in as many weeks.

In April of 2017 we had a couple of good storms (of 8-12″)

2015 we had late March and early April storms.

Yeah, we should be used to late springs I guess, just got our hopes up with Phil’s prediction I guess.

    • I woke up to a white yard again this morning, but now that the sun’s been up and shining for a bit its mostly melted again.

I’ll note that my first year living in the Syracuse area we had snow, that collected! though it didn’t stick around long, on Mother’s Day.

But yah, Phil got our hopes up, and now we all regret it.
