The checkbox to “save credit card for future purchases/payments” should NEVER be checked yes by default. AND it should ALWAYS be a straightforward matter to access saved payment methods in order to update or delete them as needed.

I totally agree. I don’t remember ever seeing the “save credit Card” automatically checked, but it’s been a long time since I’ve bought from someplace new.
Its not common. But I had to pay a co-pay to a Dr’s office. The patient portal is My Chart from Epic (of course), and I didn’t notice it was checked till AFTER I hit enter.
And THERE’s NO STRAIGHT FORWARD WAY TO DELETE SAVED PAYMENT METHODS! The closest I can find via google talks about saved payment forms “for your payment plan” but I don’t HAVE a payment plan! I’m utterly pissed off by it.
The hospital has a 800 number to call “for problems with your My Chart account” so I’ll try calling them on Monday, but it just pisses me off all the way through.
