Woke up Saturday to white grass and heavy snow fall. Though the snow melted fairly quickly after that it continued to snow, often this hard or harder, for the rest of the day. Areas north of me got upwards of 4+” of snow from this storm

Even though snows aren’t rare in May, they do catch us by surprise because our mindset is “Spring”. Some areas of the White Mountains got 8″+ of snow. And if I remember correctly, Mt. Washington itself gets snow every month of the year.
Yah well, Mt Washington qualifies as “special”
